Ivy verifies insurance benefits and estimates patient costs before treatment, helping dental teams spend less time on insurance work.
SAN MATEO, Calif., October 19, 2026. Overjet introduces Ivy, the first AI insurance coordinator that helps practices provide accurate treatment cost estimates, so patients understand what insurance is expected to cover and what they’ll likely pay. Ivy verifies eligibility and benefits, checks coverage limits and exclusions, gets real-time payer feedback, and calls insurers when information isn’t readily available, then combines those findings with the practice’s fees to build each estimate. For practices, Ivy saves staff time, improves estimate accuracy and helps teams collect more at the time of service.
Early customers are already seeing the difference. At Carolina Pines Dentistry, Ivy is giving the team time back. “Ivy saves me a full week of work (32 hours). I am the only insurance coordinator, and before I used to go to every website to check eligibility. Now, I get everything done for this week and next week in one day, so now I can focus on claims and making sure patient statements are right the first time,” said Misty Butler, Insurance Coordinator at Carolina Pines Dentistry.
For many dental teams, insurance work means lunch breaks spent on hold and evenings spent preparing for tomorrow’s patients. Even after that effort, a missed coverage limit can leave a patient with a surprise bill and the practice chasing a balance. Ivy helps teams get the answers before those problems happen.
“Ivy helps the team find the answers and catch the details that change a patient’s bill, so they can explain costs before treatment. That means more confident conversations with patients, less time of service collections gap and more time back for the people doing this work every day,” said Wardah Inam, PhD, founder and CEO of Overjet.
Ivy turns insurance information into answers the team can use. She gathers eligibility and benefits ahead of appointments and on demand, surfaces the fine print that changes a patient’s bill, and combines it with the practice’s fee schedules to prepare an estimate. Teams can see the remaining benefits, deductibles and frequency limits behind the number, explain costs and discuss payment before treatment begins.
Signature Periodontics reports collecting $100 to $200 more per day at each of its three locations with Ivy. “That’s money you’d otherwise be chasing after the patient is out the door,” said Christy Samson, Director of Office Administration at Signature Periodontics.
When digital sources leave gaps, Ivy’s payer-calling capability is designed to get the missing answers and document the findings for the team.
Ivy also connects with participating payers through Overjet’s ReviewPASS. For eligible procedures, ReviewPASS provides real-time feedback on whether a claim can bypass manual clinical review. Bringing that feedback together with benefits and fee information gives teams more of the information they need to explain expected costs before treatment. ReviewPASS availability varies by payer and procedure; estimates and review results are not guarantees of coverage or payment.
Today’s launch includes Ivy’s patient cost estimates, redesigned dashboard, and payer-calling capabilities. To learn more or request a demonstration, visit overjet.com, or join us for our Ivy first look webinar.
