Partial Denture

P

Short Description

A removable dental appliance that replaces some missing teeth while anchoring to remaining natural teeth.

Long Description

A partial denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace one or more missing teeth in the upper or lower arch. It attaches to remaining natural teeth using metal clasps or precision attachments.

Partial dentures are designed to restore chewing and speech, maintain alignment of remaining teeth, and improve appearance. They are typically made from acrylic, metal, or flexible materials, depending on patient needs and comfort.

Unlike full dentures, partials fill gaps between existing teeth and are custom-fitted for stability and function. With proper care, they can last for years and may be adjusted or relined as the mouth changes.
